Cheese is a dairy product made by adding culture to milk. Each type of cheese comes from a varied origin and is named differently. Today we will introduce you to popular types of cheese here in Thailand.

Mozzarella Cheese
Mozzarella is a soft cheese originally from Italy. It is made from cow’s milk protein which comes in 2 colors: white and yellow. The yellow kind contains less moisture and the highlight is its stringy, soft and elastic texture.

Cheddar Cheese
Cheddar is considered a well-known cheese. Produced from cow’s milk, this British cheese has a semi-hard texture, a yellow color and a slightly salty flavor from adding salt.

Parmesan Cheese
Parmesan is a hard textured cheese from Italy and famous for its strong smell due to the aging process. The longer it ages, the more expensive it is. This kind of cheese is made from cow’s milk like other types and has a strong, savory taste.

Swiss Cheese
Swiss cheese is probably a kind that we are most familiar with because of its pale yellow slice full of holes. It has a semi-hard texture and is made from cow’s milk from Switzerland.

Blue Cheese
Stood out for its unique look and scent, blue cheese is a crumbly cheese. From the outside, blue streaks can be spotted which are molds during the aging process. Apart from its distinctive appearance, this French blue cheese has the strongest odor produced from various kinds of milk such as cow’s milk, goat’s milk or sheep’s milk.

Camembert cheese
Camembert is a soft textured cheese from France. This premium quality cheese made from pasteurized cow’s milk offers an excellent flavor with a mild apple aroma. It usually comes in a round shape. The texture will become hard when refrigerated and soft and runny once warmed up.
